Weekend Update

Friday and Sunday runs:

Miles: 3
Pace: 9:40 minutes/mile

I haven't really logged any significant distance for a while, but I also kinda switched my training program. The big race is only 7 weeks from today!! I feel kinda silly saying "big race" because I'm not really "racing". I don't run fast, so I can't really race anyone.

Anyway, I've got to finish my lecture, write some exam questions, and finish writing a case study in the next 3 or 4 hours so Molly and I can watch Twilight tonight. I bought it last week and told myself I can't watch it until I am productive and get some classwork done!!

I'm still here!!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. My computer got a sweet virus (or 60) last week and was unable to use the internet. I stole Molly's computer a few times to check my email and Perez, but that was about it. Anyway, I think it is fixed now (my mom came for a visit last weekend and Keith gave her a new HD for me), so you should be expecting more timely updates!

Wednesday Run

Miles: 3.2
Pace: 9:40 minutes/mile

I just had to post some updates from the last week. I have been doing pretty well sticking to my training schedule lately. However, my last 3 or so runs have felt like crap. After about 10 minutes, my calves start feeling like they are on fire. I'm not sure if I'm just not stretching enough or if it's all in my head, but it feels like torture because I constantly am watching the clock tick down and I feel like it's not moving fast enough, haha. I've been in a pretty "blah" mood overall the last few days. I am in need of some sort of pick-me-up, but I'm not sure what would do the trick.

My next run should be tomorrow afternoon and I will post again then.

I ended up taking a trip to the UP again last week for a long weekend, so I wasn't able to get to a gym. Plus, it's waaayyy too cold and snowy to run outside back home! I'm a little "off" with my training schedule, but I should be able to catch up just fine by the end of the week.

I am super tired right now! I'm going to work on some reading for class tomorrow before I go to bed!
